This program enables managers and practitioners understand the concepts, practices and key aspects of Production Management which will help them deliver great output through a more efficient coordination with their business partners and other business functions within the organization. The program includes information about different Production functions, Production unit layout & design, Resource Planning, Packaging, Quality Control etc.. This is a unique universal program which develops the candidates’ knowledge about entire Production operations with a focus on optimizing production costs.

After the successful completion of the course, the candidates should be able to :

  • Explain and critically apply theories on supply chain management, and understand the strategic importance of manufacturing supply chains.
  • Prepare a production layout most appropriate for the product line and define processes.
  • Liaise with other business functions like marketing, finance and procurement for optimizing the product output.
  • Design and develop packaging techniques and product identification and tracking system.

Each candidate is required to pass a written exam (paper based*). The candidates must attain a minimum of 50% to be considered as passed.
