This program enables managers and practitioners understand the concepts, practices and key aspects of Inventory Management which will help them deliver great output through a more efficient coordination with their suppliers, customers, Partners and other business functions within the organization. The program includes information about Inventory types, standard material handling procedures, stock classifications, Inventory costs, Stock replenishment and related concepts. This is a unique universal program which develops the candidates’ knowledge of material management with a focus on maximizing profitability.

After the successful completion of the course, the candidates should be able to :

  • Explain and critically apply theories on supply chain management, Warehouse operations and Inventory control.
  • Prepare an inventory plan, storage plan and define SOPs for material handling.
  • Calculate the cost of carrying inventory — and deal with the slow moving inventory that takes up valuable warehouse space.
  • Use different stock replenishment techniques and help firms avoid stock outs
  • Understand the inter-relationship between Warehouse &Inventory Management and other business functions within and outside the organization.

Each candidate is required to pass a written exam (paper based*). The candidates must attain a minimum of 50% to be considered as passed.
